Are you ready to use your experience and be someone who a young person will remember helped them to change their life for the better?
If you said yes, Protective Care Group would like to talk to you!
Who are Protective Care Group?
Protective Care Group was established to provide bespoke and tailor-made support for young people with severe, complex needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour.
The young people under the care of Protective Care Group have endured a substantial portion of their formative years contending with multiple adverse experiences.
These encompass Mental Health Issues, Emotional Trauma, Criminalisation, Learning Difficulties, and Sexual Abuse, to name a few. Each young person has a unique story, yet they share the commonality of having interacted with numerous care providers before finding their way to PCG. During their early years, these individuals have focused on survival, rather than flourishing.
Many care providers might have chosen not to work with these young individuals due to the inherent risks associated with their complex and challenging needs. This is where our specialised support comes into play. Our teams are well-acquainted with the challenges inherent in these needs, and they persevere unwaveringly.
Who are we looking for?
The role of Support Worker is a demanding but very rewarding one. Whilst previous experience in the care sector is not necessary, the ability to work well and remain calm, even in the most challenging of situations, is essential.
Our young people don’t really mind what work experience their Support Workers have, so we’ll follow their lead. Ultimately, they want their Support Workers to be kind, recognise their potential, be flexible in order to meet there needs and be playful, accepting, curious and empathetic at the right times.
Why work with Protective Care Group?
The ultimate reward for this job is knowing that you’ve made a difference to a young person’s quality of life and prospects, but our Support Workers also benefit from:
- Security – PAYE role, so no need to worry about consistency of shifts and pay.
- Remuneration – competitive basic salary of £32,000 plus uplifts for each shift you work with a young person and for sleeping nights meaning you could earn up to £39,000. Paid annual leave, company sick pay and a company pension.
- Investment in you – training you need to do your role well, including paying for you to complete your NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare if you do not already have it, progression plan and training to help you get to where you want to be.
- Dedicated welfare and wellbeing support from management, internal Welfare Specialist and free confidential counselling services.
- Active and generous refer a friend scheme.
